Physical Appearance: Pretty thin; not very fit; doesn’t work out much. His face is that of a typical Filipino: big eyes, button nose, but he has slightly chubby cheeks. Far-sighted so he wears glasses. Hair is dark and unruly with short bangs framing both sides of his face.

Personality:

Manila is an opinionated man who takes chances on every opportunity, acting for the sake of others with an enthusiasm that’s warm and contagious. He is extremely passionate and expressive, and loves to make others laugh with his wit and humor. His unconventional ideas make him a great entertainer, thus making him quite popular.

Despite this, he is incredibly understanding and compassionate, valuing self-expression and individuality over the norms and standards of society. He also has the ability of intuitively understanding the ideas, feelings, and motivations of other people. However, he has a lot of difficulty following through projects, especially if he feels that certain rules are limiting him in the process.

When he was young, he didn't really get to enjoy the perks of being a kid. Thus, the social conditions at the time gave him a wild imagination so to escape the strict reality. He may even seem very childlike at times, but, having been raised by his parental figure, he has a deep, genuine concern for other people, regardless of whether he knows them or not. Because of this, he views the greater good being more important than close family or friends, and he will not hesitate to sacrifice close friends for the cause. He also dislikes anything that he perceives as unfair or unjust, and will try his best to bring it all into harmony. 

His idealism, however, is a double-edged sword. He may look at every situation at a positive view to lift up spirits, including his own, yet he has a tendency to ignore problems and overlook mistakes completely. He also has a really bad habit of idealizing other people into his standards, which are often flawed and unrealistic. This may sometimes lead him to constant conflict and strained relationships with others.

His love for his personal freedom causes him to dislike and avoid commitments altogether. He also tends to stay away from any sort of emotional conflict or confrontation, and has difficulty expressing negative emotions such as sadness or anger in front of others. To some, he may come off as irresponsible. He only shares his negative emotions with the people he holds nearest and dearest. Despite closing off his negative emotions from others, he still wears his heart on his sleeve and is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs.

Manila loves pop culture and trending, thus he has a really wide range of interests and hobbies. He likes watching TV shows and documentaries, reading books, and playing video games. He's quite a nerd actually, and can really devote himself to things that he's interested in. He's also taken quite an interest in writing, after taking inspiration from many famous novels and stories such as Florante at Laura, Noli me Tangere, El Filibusterismo, etc. He aspires to become a successful writer someday, telling all sorts of epic stories filled with adventure and fantasy. However, he has difficulty focusing on a single idea and often never gets any of his writing projects finished.

When it comes to romance and relationships, Manila's charisma and confidence fades away and he becomes very awkward. Although he won’t admit it, he dreams of having someone to share all of his fears and hopes with. Deep down inside, he is a hopeless romantic who often wishes that soulmates are really true. However, when it comes to actually taking action and pursuing the person that he likes, he becomes insecure and nervous, and prefers to just admire the person from afar. He doesn't really put much importance on physical appearances, and prioritizes the emotional connection more. His primary love language would be 'Quality Time'.

Another setback for him in romantic relationships is his difficulty to commit: he has to be 100% sure that the relationship with his partner is genuine before he makes any big decisions. He seeks authenticity in relationships and emotions. However, when he is already in a relationship, he will do his best to please and keep his partner happy. He's very similar to a student when in a relationship, seeking to learn a lot and be guided by his partner. But his tendency to idealize others may also pose as a problem in his romantic life; he may idealize his partner unrealistically.

He has difficulty getting serious and following through rules and procedures. He prefers making his own way of doing things, creatively and spontaneously. Mundane tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, and any other forms of housework aren't really his forte. He'd often prefer other people to do these for him. When he does promise to do these kinds of tasks, he gets preoccupied by other activities and eventually forgets them. He isn't suited for environments with formal structures or hierarchies, and prefers work surroundings that are more flexible.

Despite his dislike for social norms and expectations, he genuinely wants to be liked by others and be seen as good. He can be really sensitive and insecure, growing needy of other’s validation. He will try his hardest to please the people that he cares about most for one of his biggest fears happens to be rejection.

At his worst, he will push people away and drag them back in. Talking to him at his lowest points will be like walking on fragile glass ready to fall apart and break forever. He will shut away from the outside world, isolate himself, focus on his own thoughts, and try to convince himself that there's nothing wrong. His tendency to bottle up all of his negative feelings and emotions might lead to this: if asked what’s wrong, he will drop the topic completely and talk about something else.

Overall, Manila is a creative, brave, and compassionate man who brings a fresh new perspective to the people around him.

Relations:

    -          They treat each other like brothers and are very close. They often joke around a lot and try out different experiences together. They both mutually trust and respect each other; Manila can always rely on him if he ever needs help.

    ·         Bulacan

    -          They have this sort of mutual respect for each other, because of the similar way that they view the world. Their shared love for literature is something that they bond over. They often share ideas, thoughts, and jokes together.

    ·         Cavite

    -          Although they won’t admit it, they’re best friends. Manila is rather fond of his sense of security and commitment, which, as he believes, will help him become a better person. Despite Manila’s upbeat personality, he tends to worry a lot about Cavite.

    ·         Laguna

    -          Both of them are very idealistic, welcoming, and generous. They have similar goals in life, as they both seek to bring happiness and joy to others. Their ideals are usually the topic of most of their conversations.

    ·         Nueva Ecija

    -          Even though they aren’t very close, Manila admires Nueva Ecija’s kindness and humility. They can be very awkward at times, but they get along quite well, even if N.E. is sometimes weirded out by Manila.

    ·         Pampanga

    -          They don’t really agree with each other unless they’re in a work environment. In work environments, they can be very successful together because of Manila’s innovative ideas and Pampanga’s ability to enforce them.

    ·         Philippines/Amiah

    -          High energy and drive is what best describes the both of them. They’re very loud and people-oriented, and they often have a lot of fun together. They joke around and tease each other a lot, and often talk about feelings together. Philippines is his sassy friend who he can tell his secrets to.

    ·         Tarlac

    -          Even though they give off very different first impressions, they both have similar values and morals. They both understand each other quite well, and often imagine about weird things together.
